The Black Skies

These guys are from York. This terrific band started up in 2020. I was alerted to them by my old mate Paul Gorry who with Matt Seddon signed them to their new label and management setup as a branch of their Turn Up The Noise marketing agency. Paul was previously the main writer in Illustrious, a band I produced in about 1991, and I have collaborated with him on several other great projects in recent years.

After some additional production, mixing and mastering for the first two singles, I was invited up to York to co-produce further songs, including this great collaboration with US country rockers Hellbound Glory:

The first release I twiddled with was this great song Unchained. It got to No.3 in the iTunes rock chart!
